Table Tennis at MGC Sports League (MGCSL)

What is Table Tennis?

Table Tennis, also known as Ping Pong, is a fast-paced indoor racket sport played on a table divided by a net. Players use small paddles to hit a lightweight ball back and forth, aiming to outscore their opponent by making the ball land on the table in a way that's difficult to return. It requires agility, precision, and quick reflexes.

Equipment Required

To play table tennis, you'll need a paddle (racket), a table tennis ball, and a standard-sized table with a net. Comfortable clothing and shoes with good grip are recommended. Advanced players often carry paddle cases, extra balls, and grip-enhancing accessories.

Basic Rules

A game is played to 11 points, and matches are usually best of 5 or 7 games. Players alternate serves every 2 points. A rally starts with a serve that must bounce once on each side of the table. Points are won when the opponent fails to make a valid return. The winner must win by at least 2 points.
